Urban 'Coon' Dictionary

Soooooo... Ive gotten countless questions about my terminology/ vernacular, simply what the hell am I talking about when I say things like "PLESS" so on & so forth. I've decided the easiest way to bring you kids up to speed is to provide a little COON dictionary to help you understand exactly where i'm coming from, OR MOREOVER who i'm coming for.... SO LETS GET IT!

1. 'PLESS' -- Commonly used in the place of 'Please' to express your EXTREME dislike for something or the want for it to cease. Often times used at the end of a phrase to heighten the seriousness of your dislike.

Ex. I Cant Stand Beyonce! Her lacefront is the worse! Pless!

 

 






2. Late -- Used to describe something &or someone who is in fact behind the times... and is simply outdated or never dated. LATE

Ex. That bitch is LATE and so are her wedges!

3. Kitten Debbies -- The street name for an ABSURDLY small heel usually found on a church shoe.

Ex. Now why would you dare walk this runway with Kitten Debbies on

4. Snatched -- Used to describe something or someone who is either physically fit or extremely skinny.

Ex. Jennifer Hudson snatched that body right on in!

 

5. Boot/ Boots -- Used to solely express something with direct and or increased enthusiasm! 

Ex. Ciara's body is snatched BOOT!

 

So there you have it... 5 of my most used terms all broken down for you! Enjoy and USE UP... Until Next Time Kids!

Pop Those Pills, POP THAT DRESS!

So today Fantasia stopped by 'Good Morning America' to promote her new project 'Back To Me' (which i reviewed last week). Album promotion aside, I think MOST people tuned in to hear her ramble about her attempted suicide . HONESTLY, I watched the interview but didn't hear a word this BUMPKIN said, it was hard to focus my attention on her words as she sat on the couch and stood on THAT stage BUSTING at the seams& looking like a STUFFED SAUSAGE on the 4th of July!

Artist usually GET IT RIGHT AND TIGHT before a release, some of the most notable Janet Jackson, Britney, J.Hud, etc. I'm not sure if Fanny was too busy fucking other ppls men, or arguing w/ her SLOW ass brother to attend the gym, BUT thats where styling comes into play... & this HERE is just a LATE ASS MESS! YOU LOOK BAD! From the full cap to the FULL DRESS! 

This horrible visual however did not stop her from DELIVERING a flawless performance... AT LEAST!

Set for release on the 24th of the month, Fantasia's return entitled 'Back to Me' has shaped up to be quite the nice project, and hopefully fueled by her hot ghetto press will turn some $$$ for the powerhouse. Her first project in at least 4 years, it HAD to reflect some type of growth & I was pleasantly surprised the direction her & her team chose to go. Tracks like 'Who's Been Lovin You' & 'Falling in Love Tonight' have all the elements of what i like to call 'Music Whitefication' or Top 40 treatment... With a voice like Fannys we dont always need to hear a down home CHURCH FEST and i'm glad she has finally realized... But they couldn't pull her away from the shoe kicking, foot stomping, neckbone chewing antics she has become 'mildly' famous for, {LMAO} giving us tracks like 'Collard Greens & Cornbread' where she insists on comparing love to COON FOOD! But i cant even PAY it cause she sings BACK on this track.

Stand Out Tracks:

1. 'Im Doin Me' --This has a good feel to it, great opener not too much not to little.

4. 'Who's Been Lovin You' -- Im surprised this hasn't got the single treatment yet... Perfect Song! No oversinging with perfect melodic back track. TOP 40 Material.

7. 'Move On Me' -- This Absolutely feels GOOD! Her team was right tho, NOT single material. Something is lacking in the verses but that chorus LORD JESUS.

10. 'Falling in Love Tonight' -- SUPERB production... Another TOP 40 pick for me... even tho who knows who the guy is this song is VERY easy on the ear... LOVE IT!

Over All, i'm loving the direction this Bangee Bitch is heading... hopefully someone can get her image together and we will be good!

Overall 3.5 out of 5 PUMPS! Go Fanny!

  

Living On A Prayer

So earlier today I received a txt from my mom that read "I was able to walk away from an accident that could have sent me to the hospital." Immediately I felt weak, the realization of mortality pertaining to the person I hold dearest on this earth was enough to send my mind on endless trips. 


I've never claimed to be the most religious guy around, but its something about trials and close-calls that draw you nearer to our creator. This very week has been a struggle for me, throughout I promised myself that I would be thankful for all the little things because I sure didn't have access to the larger things my heart desired. Something as simple as a free breakfast at work gave me an opportunity to thank my creator for what he has done, and even what he will continue to do.


My mother is a Jesus warrior, I'm surprised it hasn't rubbed off on me quite as much as it could have. Nevertheless, I realize that God has shown favor in my life & to ignore that would be blasphemous.


So every time i'm down or i'm broke... I remember what I have been provided along the lines of relationships and material possessions & then I think what I could be and everything I didn't have to be provided.

With only about a week until the EPIC release of Katy Perry's latest project "Teenage Dream", I think its safe to say she is RULING the charts and will be for weeks to come... I've always respected her for the aesthetic value she brings to music, but I think her team is ready to establish her as a TRUE artist and catapult her into the POP ROYALTY with the likes of GAGA & Queen BRIT BRIT!

Just when I couldn't get enough of Katy's current single and title track "Teenage Dream", the bitter BASH of her former boyfriend... the INCREDIBLY LATE Travis McCoy, "Circle The Drain" leaked. When i say its nothing like a woman scorned... this PRETTY bitch proves it! SCREAMING: "Wanna Be Your LOVER, NOT your fucking mother!"

IM IN LOVE WITH THIS CHICK! ...simply my NEW favorite artist CURRENTLY ruling the game!
